Review: of axioms by for all the emptiness

Artist: for all the emptiness
Album: axioms
axioms is the new album by up and comers for all the emptiness. This album is very promising and blends some of the best elements from the EBM scene. The vocals are reminiscent of Beborn Beton or VNV Nation with a strong natural sound instead of the deep and brooding or growling vocals of some in the genre. The mixing has a wonderful, danceable flow with a certain undeniable catchiness.
What the album lacks in production polish it most certainly makes up for in musical quality. It fits the genre and has a quality base to work with for future remixes. This is an album I can see being played in goth industrial clubs across the US and Europe. The lack of polish does give for all the emptiness an advantage in that I can see it being played well live, I don't foresee this band being known as a “studio band”. However, it must be said that some of the vocals have somewhat overtaken the tracks and detracted from the wonderful beats hiding behind them.
Overall it's a solid album from a band with infinite potential. I give it an A-
